Proposal For Workorder Advanced PDF template

Proposal Summary

This proposal encompasses the development and design of a customized Work Order PDF template. The objective is to create an Advanced pdf template that effectively presents and organizes the necessary information related to workorders for the client by the Implementer.

Requirement from Power Utility Products Co-USA-NS.

Currently, the client is using a Basic PDF for their Work Orders. They have expressed the need to incorporate a label type and related information from bill of revision records into their Work Order prints. This will require the creation of a dedicated Advanced PDF format that includes all the relevant details.

Deliverables

The implementor has reviewed the requirement thoroughly and please find below the deliverables we propose.

We will add a custom button ‘Print Work Order’ to generate the workorder print on the work order record. The Header fields data of the advanced pdf will be fetched from the body fields and from related Bill of revision record and the table data will be fetched from the item table of the work order record.

The solution will be implemented using a custom button and a NetSuite script that triggers the generation of the PDF print upon clicking the button. This will streamline the process, ensuring the Work Order prints include all the necessary label type and bill of revision information as requested.

·        Create a custom button with title Print workorder.

·        Develop an Advanced PDF template to include all relevant fields for the Work Order.

·        Deploy a script to generate the print on button click

Assumptions

The implementor assumes that the

•                   The bin quantity will be displayed from the inventory detail. Use  record.inventorydetail to source and display the bin quantity in the Advanced PDF.

•                   BOM Instructions will be sourced from Bill of Materials Revision record.

•                   Use the Memo Field from the Work Order to display the WO Instructions.

•                   Display the Barcode for the item based on the itemid using Code128 format.
