FAM Diagnostics Portlet Error: Record Not Found

Scenario: When logging in with a custom role other than Administrator or Fixed Assets Manager, users may encounter an error indicating that the FAM Diagnostics portlet is inaccessible. This is typically due to the custom role not having the required permission to access this feature.

Steps to Resolve:

  1. Add the Required Permission:
  • Navigate to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles.
  • Locate the role that needs to be updated.
  • Edit the role.
  • Under the Custom Record tab, add the permission FAM Recent Diagnosis.
  • Save the role.
  1. Verify Access:
  • Log out and log back in using the updated custom role.
  • Check if the FAM Diagnostics portlet is now accessible.
