How to set a discount in Magento2

Step 1: Create a New Shopping Cart Price Rule

1. Log in to the Magento 2 Admin Panel.
2. Go to Marketing > Promotions > Cart Price Rules.
3. Click Add New Rule.

Step 2: Configure Rule Information

1. Rule Information:

• Rule Name: Enter a descriptive name (e.g., “Buy 3 Get Discount”).
• Description: Optionally, describe the rule for internal reference.
• Active: Set to Yes.
• Websites: Select the applicable website(s).
• Customer Groups: Choose the customer groups eligible for this rule.

1. Conditions:

• Expand the Conditions section.
• Add a condition that specifies the product. For example:
• Click +.
• Select Product attribute combination.
• Set SKU to the specific product SKU you want to target.

1. Actions:

• Under the Actions section, set:
• Apply: Choose Percent of product price discount or Fixed amount discount based on your requirement.
• Discount Amount: Set the discount value (e.g., 10 for 10%).
• Maximum Qty Discount is Applied To: Leave blank or set a value.
• Apply to Shipping Amount: Choose if the discount applies to shipping.
• In Conditions, specify the quantity:
• Click +.
• Select Subtotal (Qty).
• Set it to is 3 for the rule to apply when the quantity reaches 3.
