Support for Existing WSDL Versions in NetSuite

NetSuite supports the six latest Web Services Description Language (WSDL) endpoints at any given time. For example, with the general availability of the 2024.2 endpoint, the following WSDL versions are currently supported:

  • 2024.2
  • 2024.1
  • 2023.2
  • 2023.1
  • 2022.2
  • 2022.1

If your integration uses an older version, it is recommended to upgrade to one of the latest supported WSDL versions to ensure compatibility and access to the latest features.

In addition to the fully supported endpoints, NetSuite retains eight additional endpoint versions from the previous four years. These versions are available for use but without support. These additional available endpoints include:

  • 2021.2
  • 2021.1
  • 2020.2
  • 2020.1
  • 2019.2
  • 2019.1
  • 2018.2
  • 2018.1

Endpoint Retirement Policy

NetSuite enforces a retirement policy for older endpoints. Starting with version 2019.1, endpoints that are 15 or more versions older than the latest release are retired. When your NetSuite account is upgraded to a newer version:

  1. The last endpoint on the supported list stops being supported.
  2. The last endpoint on the list of available (unsupported) endpoints is retired and is no longer accessible.

Impact of Not Upgrading

If you fail to upgrade to a newer endpoint before your WSDL version is retired:

  • Your integrations will stop functioning as the endpoint will no longer be accessible.
  • It is critical to plan and test your integration upgrades to ensure uninterrupted functionality.

NetSuite’s endpoint retirement policy emphasizes the importance of regularly upgrading to supported WSDL versions to maintain compatibility and access to the latest enhancements.
