Lead Generated from an Online Customer Form Uses an ID of ONLINEXXX

Solution

Online prefix is added if auto-numbering is disabled and if there already exists an entity with the same name.

The ONLINEXXX is a feature that tells user in NetSuite that a duplicate lead has been created from an online customer form.

If user creates a unique lead through the online customer form, name entered by the user is used as the Customer ID.

1. Auto-Generated Number for Entity (Customer) is not enabled. 

1. Navigate to Setup > Company > Auto-Generated Numbers
2. Select Entities tab
3. Verify if Customer type is enabled

2. Use Duplicate Detection Criteria is not Enabled in the Online Customer form. 

1. Navigate to Setup > Marketing > Online Customer Forms
2. Click Edit beside the Online Customer Form
3. Click the Set Up Workflow tab
4. Verify if Use Duplicate Detection Criteria checkbox is marked
