Scenario:
When attempting to delete an inbound shipment, a prompt message appears stating, “This record cannot be deleted because it has dependent records.” However, no dependent records are displayed, preventing their deletion.
Solution:
Possible dependent records linked to the inbound shipment may include WMS Open Tasks if the Warehouse Management System (WMS) is in use. To resolve this issue, follow these steps to delete the related WMS Open Tasks:
- Access the list of all WMS Open Tasks by using Global Search and typing “PA: WMS Open Task.”
- In the WMS Open Task List Page, locate the task(s) related to the inbound shipment in question.
- To facilitate the search, click the “Customize View” button.
- Click “Criteria.”
- Click “Standard.”
- Apply the following filter:
- Select “Inbound Shipment.”
- Choose the specific inbound shipment to be deleted.
- Click “Set.”
- Click “Results.”
- In the “Field” section, select “Inbound Shipment.”
- Click “Preview.”
- Edit the WMS Open Task(s) in the results.
- Go to “Actions” and select “Delete.”
- Delete all WMS Open Task records related to the inbound shipment to be deleted.
- Return to the inbound shipment to be deleted and click “Edit.”
- Go to “Actions” and select “Delete.”
By following these steps, you should be able to successfully delete the inbound shipment.
