Manual execution in Boomi

Manual Execution

Manual execution allows users to trigger a deployed Boomi process directly from the platform interface, bypassing automated schedules or external triggers. This is especially useful during development, debugging, or when immediate data processing is required.

Steps to Manually Execute a Process

1. From the Manage menu,

  • From the dashboard, select either:
  • Process Reporting: Ideal for viewing execution history and triggering processes.
  • Runtime Management: Useful for managing deployed atoms and environments.

2. Select the Runtime Environment

  • Choose the Atom or Molecule where your process is deployed

3. Choose the Process

  • From the list of deployed processes, select the one you wish to execute.
  • Listener-based processes (e.g., HTTP, Web Services) are not available for manual execution.

4. Click “Execute”

  • Hit the Execute button.
  • If your process includes parameters or process properties, you’ll be prompted to enter values.

5. Monitor the Execution

  • Press Refresh to update the dashboard and view the status of your process. This helps confirm whether the process has started, completed, or encountered any issues.
  • Once triggered, you can monitor the process in real-time via the Execution tab.
  • Logs and document tracking are available for deeper insights.
