Installing the SuiteApps for NetSuite Ship Central
Install the required SCM Mobile SuiteApp and NetSuite Ship Central SuiteApp.
To install SuiteApps for NetSuite Ship Central:
- Using the Administrator role, go to Customization > SuiteBundler > Search & Install Bundles.
- The Search & Install Bundles page appears.
- In the Keywords field, enter the name of the bundle you want to install, following the order in this list:
- SCM Mobile – 554537
- NetSuite Ship Central – 573803
- Click Search.
- From the search results, click the name next to the corresponding bundle ID shown in step 2.
- On the Bundle Details page, click Install.
- If a popup message appears that asks for your permission to install future bundle updates, click OK to confirm.
- On the Preview Bundle Install page, click Install Bundle.
- After you install the SCM Mobile SuiteApp, you can follow the same instructions to install the Ship Central SuiteApp.
While you wait for a bundle installation to complete, you can continue your work in your NetSuite account. To view the status of bundle installations, go to Customization > SuiteBundler > Search & Install Bundles > List.
Enabling Features for NetSuite Ship Central
After you install the SuiteApps, you must enable the required features. Verify that the required features for SCM Mobile are also enabled on your account.
You may also enable features for additional order, inventory, or shipping capabilities that suit your business requirements.
To enable features for NetSuite Ship Central:
- Using the Administrator role, go to Setup > Company > Enable Features.
- On the Enable Features page, check the box next to the following required features:
- Subtab
- Feature Name
- Remarks
- Company
- Locations
- Multiple Units of Measure
- Create locations for shipping,
- Transactions
- Shipping Partners
- SuiteCloud
- Custom Records
- Advanced PDF/HTML Templates
- Client SuiteScript
- Server SuiteScript
- (Optional) You can check the box next to additional features that you may need to support your business processes, such as the following:
- To pack orders before you ship them out through the Ship Central app or the NetSuite UI, check the Pick, Pack and Ship box.
- To use bins, check the Bin Management and Advanced Bin/Numbered Inventory Management boxes.
- To set up bar code scanning, check the Bar Coding and Item Labels box.
- For Advanced Inventory Management users, to include the Expected Ship Date field in order transactions, check the Supply Allocation box.
- To enter different shipping routes on an order transaction, check the Multiple Shipping Routes box and other required features.
- To enable the following shipping capabilities, check the Shipping Label Integration box:
- Direct packing and shipping on item fulfillments
- International shipping – Additionally, you must check the Multiple Currencies box.
- HazMat/Dangerous goods shipping through USPS
- Shipping label generation
- Return label generation
- Packages that you can assign to items
- After you enable these additional features, you must set up the related capabilities for the app.
- To display the image of your items on the app, check the Site Builder (Website) and Site Builder (Web Store) boxes.
- If you do not see these features in your account, contact your NetSuite account manager.
