Option 2:

To track changes made to permissions or roles (Update, Change, or Delete), you’ll need to create a SuiteAnalytics dataset as System Notes v2 captures sublist-level changes (like Role > Permissions lines) and lets admins search all notes in Analytics.

  1. Navigate to Analytics > Datasets > New Dataset.
  2. In the Dataset tab, search for and select the System Notes v2 table.
  3. Add the field Object Element Name to the dataset (double-click or drag it into the dataset area).
  4. Drag Object Element Name into the Criteria area to filter results for Role/Permission changes.
  5. Add the Role field to identify which role a specific permission was changed for.
  6. Save/Export the Workbook/Report.

This way, the dataset will only display System Note entries relevant to permission and role changes, making it much easier to audit updates.
