SOFTEX

Softex refers to a Software Export Declaration Form used by Indian companies to report the export of software and IT-enabled services to clients outside India. It is submitted to the software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and serves as a proof of export under the regulations of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The purpose of Softex form is to ensure that the foreign exchange earned from software exports is properly accounted for and reconciled with the company’s invoices and bank inward remittances. It plays vital role in maintaining compliance, transparency, and accuracy in the financial documentation of software export transactions.
