Scenario
User created an Item Saved Search and set a Name Filter under Criteria Subtab Example : Name = is 2345
However, the system is pulling up the item record with the Name “970-2345”
Solution
1. Navigate to Lists> Search> Saved Searches > New
2. Click Item
3. Click Criteria
4. Click Standard
5. Filter:
Select Name(Internal)
Note: Use the field “Name(Internal)” instead of “Name” to pull up the correct result.
What is the difference between “Name” and “Name (Internal)” filters under the Criteria tab in a Saved Item Search?
- Name filter on your Item Search represents all Names on your Item Record.
- This includes Item Name, Vendor Name, Display Name, Product Name, Web Store Display Name etc.
- Name(Internal), however, pertains to your Item Name/Number.
