Cash flow planning report

Proposal summary

This project proposal describes the scope of creating a custom cash flow planning board report using a suite script.

Requirement

Create a custom cash flow planning board report using suite script functionality.

The cash flow planning board computation is shown below.

  1. LC margin = If the Mode of payment is LC site, LC DA, LC+TT (Note: exclude CAD) the amount is the product of LC amount and Margin%, summarized based on the month of Doc. Date.
  2. FATR Grant = Amount is the difference between LC Amount and LC Margin, summarized based on the month of ‘Shipping documents arrival date’.
  3. TT = TT value only for the Mode of payment LC+TT, if the Mode of payment is LC+TT, then the amount is the TT amount, summarized based on the month of ‘TT Date’.
  4. CAD = CAD value only for the Mode of payment CAD, if the Mode of payment is CAD, then the amount is the CAD amount, summarized based on the month of ‘Shipping documents arrival date’.
  5. Shipment duties = If the Mode of payment is anyone of LC site, LC DA, LC+TT, then the amount is the product of Shipping Duties % and LC Amount and if Mode of payment is CAD, then the shipment duties are the product of Shipping Duties % and CAD Amount, summarized based on the month of ‘Expected shipment arrival date.
  6. FATR Due = The amount is the FATR Grant (LC amount-LC Margin), summarized based on the month of the date is Shipping documents arrival date + FATR tenure.

Our Solution

  1. We will create a custom suitelet form for displaying the Cash flow planning dashboard.
  2. This dashboard navigation will be the List -> Customized -> Cash flow planning dashboard.
  3.  This report’s user interface will look like this.
  4. The “As on” date is the created date of the inbound shipment record. The default “As on” date value will be the current date.
  5. If the user changes the value in the “AS on” filter then click the button. We will get all open inbound shipment records on or before that specific date in the “As on” filter.
  6. We will add the month-wise (column) summary in this report.

Assumptions

  1. The maximum number of columns in a month-by-month summary is 20.
  2. We assume that the report’s end users are using laptops and desktop computers to access the cash flow planning board report. There may be a responsiveness issue with mobile devices.
