Scenario
Print both Item Name and Display Name on the Picking Ticket using the Advanced PDF/HTML Template
Solution
1. Create a Transaction Column/Line Field
1. Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Transaction Line Fields > New
• Enter Name: (e.g. Item Display Name)
• Type: Free-Form Text
• Store Value: Unchecked
• Applies To: Sale Item
• Sourcing & Filtering: set Source List to Item and set Source From to Display Name
2. Click Save Button
2. Add the Custom transaction/column field in the Advanced PDF/HTML Template
1. Navigate to Customization > Forms > Advanced PDF/HTML Templates
2. Click Customize
3. Look for the item section
• Add ${item.custcol_itemdisplay}
4. Click Save Button
3. Select the Custom Picking Ticket PDF Template in the Picking Ticket Form
1. Navigate to Customization > Forms > Transaction Forms
2. Click Edit Picking Ticket Form (marked as preferred)
• Printing Type: Advanced
• Print Template: Select the Advanced PDF Template created in Step 2
3. Click Save Button
Note: The Picking Ticket looks at the originating transaction which is the Sales Order
