Enhance the Bank Deposit record in NetSuite by adding a ‘Service Code’ field, similar to its availability in other financial transactions like vendor bills and checks. This will ensure that all bank deposits are categorized with a Service Code, which is essential for aligning with organizational processes and reporting requirements.
Unfortunately, the ability to Add records/fields to Cash Back tabs is still not supported by NetSuite. There is currently an Enhancement filed for this logged under Enhancement #356104 – Customization > Forms > Transaction Forms > Customize a Deposit form > Under Screen Fields > Please have the ability to customize and add column fields under the Other Deposits and Cash Back tabs.
We can explore the customization possibility of adding the service code to the cashback tab in the deposit record based on specific requirements. However, it will not function the same way as the current custom segments do for reporting and GL impacts in NetSuite.
