Adding custom field in Subscription Line.

Scenario: Create a custom field- Completion Date in the Subscription line level. This field should be seen in each line of the subscription.

Solution

1. Create a Custom Field
   1. Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Other Record Field > New
   2. Label: Enter Label : Completion Date
   3. Record Type: Select Subscription Line
   4. Type: Select Date/Time
   5. Store Value: Enter Checkmark
   6. Enter Help under the Display subtab
   7. Click Save
2. Customize Subscription Record
   1. Navigate to Transactions > Subscriptions > Create Subscriptions > List
   2. Preferred Subscription Record: Click View
   3. Lines Sublist: Click Customize View
   4. Click Results
   5. Field: Select Completion Date
      Add Label Completion Date
   6. Click Save

In the view mode of subscription record, we can see the field like this:

In the edit mode of subscription line, we can see the record like this:

Note: There is limitation for this workaround. The custom field is only displayed in the Line Sublist when in View mode. This also means that the user is unable to edit it in the Sublist Level. In order to populate the Custom Field, the user can manually edit or do a CSV Import for the Subscription Line record.
