Bin Management

• To identify places in our warehouse where we store inventory items
• Track on-hand quantities within a warehouse
• Tracking items by bins can help organize receiving items
• Simplify picking items to fulfill orders
• Two NetSuite features:
  • Bin Management
    • Putting Away Items in Bins – To put away an item immediately, we can edit the quantities placed in each bin. If we set the Use Preferred Bin on Item Receipts preference, all items are placed in the preferred bin for that location by default.
    • Receiving item with Bin number
    • Bins on Sales order
    • Bins on Picking Tickets
    • Only on-hand quantity is tracked per bin
  • Advanced Bin / Numbered Inventory Management – Enhanced version of tracking inventory in bins
