Calculation of Average consolidated exchange rate for Grandchild subsidiary

Average Consolidated Exchange Rates is not being calculated for grandchild subsidiary even if there are transactions in it.

This is a standard behavior of the system if both the child and the grandchild subsidiary has the same currency that is different from the parent subsidiary. For example:

Parent = USD

— Child = AUD

—– Grandchild = AUD

The average consolidated exchange rate will only be computed for the transactions in the child subsidiary. This is because if the Base Currencies of these subsidiaries are the same, then, the exchange rate between the same currencies is technically 1.00. With this, the system will not trigger computation for Average/Historical rates. If there are no transactions in the child subsidiary and transaction are just in the grand child subsidiary, there will be no changes in the consolidated exchange rates for the grandchild subsidiary.

Even though there are qualified transactions for these, it is not expected that these transactions will affect the Consolidated Exchange Rates of the Parent subsidiary. This is due to the system limitation logged under Enhancement #221439: Consolidated Exchange Rates>Have the ability to affect the consolidated exchange rate of the child subsidiary to root parent for transactions made by the grandchild subsidiary (derived or indirect rates)
