When the Accounting Preference “Allow Overage on Work Order Transactions” is enabled, users are not able to increase the quantity of components on Work Order Issue.
Solution
Check whether the following Accounting Preference is set to “Limit to Committed“:
- Setup > Accounting > Accounting Preference
- Click on Order Management tab
- Go to Manufacturing Issue Based on Commitment
If this preference is set to “Limit to Committed“, we will not be able to increase the quantity of components on Work Order Issue even when the preference “Allow Overage on Work Order Transactions” is enabled. This is because the quantity that we are trying to increase by is not committed on the Work Order.
The Accounting Preference “Manufacturing Issue Based on Commitment” will need to be set to “Allow Uncommitted” or “Ignore Commitment” in order to allow overage on Work Order transactions.
