Change the Subsidiary of Locations

The Subsidiary of a Location cannot be changed once the record is saved. If the wrong subsidiary is assigned, you will need to delete those locations and create/import them again.

If inventory is associated with this location, follow these steps:

  1. Create a new Location and assign this to the desired Subsidiary
  2. Navigate to Setup > Company > Locations > New
  3. Select the correct Subsidiary on the Subsidiary field
  4. Click Save
  5. Transfer the Inventory from the old location to the new Location
  6. Inactivate the old Location if this will no longer be used
  7. Navigate to Setup > Company > Locations
  8. Click Edit next to the old Location
  9. Set Location Is Inactive = True
  10. Click Save
