In NetSuite, managing permissions for various roles within an organization can be a time-consuming task, especially when updates need to be applied in bulk. Fortunately, NetSuite offers a convenient solution to this challenge through its Mass Update feature.

- Select Roles & Permissions: In the Mass Update menu, locate and click on the “Roles & Permissions” link.
- Add/Edit Permissions: Click on the “Add/Edit Permissions” button to begin updating permissions for roles.
- Title of the actions: Give a descriptive title to the actions that is about to perform.
- Choose Permissions to Edit: Under the permissions field, select which permissions need to be edited for the roles. This could include permissions related to accessing specific records or transactions.
- Specify Permission Levels: For each permission selected, specify the level of access to be granted or modified under Level field.
- Define Criteria: Under the Criteria subtab, specify any conditions that should be met for the permissions update to apply.
- Select Fields to Show: In the Results subtab, select which fields wants to be included in the preview of the permissions update. This will help to verify the changes before applying them.
- Preview Changes: Click on the “Preview” button to generate a preview of the permissions update.
- Exclude Roles (Optional): If there are any roles for which the permissions update should not apply, then we can clear the checkbox next to their names in the preview list.
- Perform Update: Finally, click on the “Perform Update” button to apply the permissions update to the selected roles.
