Proposal Summary
This proposal covers the scope of sending an email to the provided email address when the user submits the form on the click-lease financing page with the user’s provided email and parts information and creates a custom record with the same form details.
Requirement
- When users submit the click-lease financing form on the click-lease financing page, two actions should occur:
- The form details should be sent via email to the provided email address.
- The form details should be saved in a custom record.
Our Solution
Custom Record Creation
- Scenario with Logged-in Users: Users may not be logged in while submitting the click-lease financing form or may provide an email address different from the one registered on the website. Thus, we cannot directly store the form details in the customer record. Instead, a new custom record will be created with fields for email, parts, and customer information.
Email Notification
- An email containing the click-lease financing form details will be sent to the provided email address upon form submission.
Assumption
- We assume that both the email sending, and custom record creation features need to be added once the user submits the click-lease-financing form.
- We assume that these details are not to be shown on the website.
- We assume that a single customer can submit multiple click-lease financing details with the same or different part details; no preventive action is required for that.
- If the user submits the click-lease financing form then register with the same email that was used for the click-lease financing, the previous click-lease financing records will not be linked for the customer record.
Queries:
- For which email addresses do we need to send the click-lease financing details when the user submits the forms? Specifically, should the details be sent only to the provided email address, or are there other recipients (e.g., internal team members) who should receive these details as well?
