Coastal ACH has a deprecation date of March 2023. Payments will no longer be transmitted to your vendors or processed from your customers, even if the process appears successful.
ACH Processing in NetSuite is Changing
NetSuite is removing an older method of processing ACH Vendor Payments and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payments. This NetSuite ACH Processing feature is targeted for a removal date of March 31, 2023. The NetSuite ACH Processing feature relies on an integration with our partner, Coastal Software. We are removing only the integrated feature. To continue your existing payment processing relationship with Coastal Software, you may contact Coastal Software & Consulting, Inc. directly to discuss a Coastal Software recommended payment processing flow.

In a nutshell, the main difference of the Electronic Bank Payments and ACH Processing is that the former does not involve a direct cash out, but a generation of a bank file to be sent to the bank for processing. Basically, your bank will use the bank txt file that is generated in NetSuite to process the fund transfer. On the other hand, ACH uses a third party integration that processes payments.
