Scenario
For security reasons, as of February 2024 you can only select email addresses associated with your NetSuite contacts as recipients for a scheduled report. If you want to send the report to an email address that is currently not associated with a contact, you can create a new contact and include it in a contact group.
Solution
- Create a Contact Record
- Navigate to Lists > Relationships > Contacts > New
- Name: Enter Name
- Email Address: Enter Email Address
- Click Save
- Create a Contact Group
- Note: You may select Dynamic if your recipients are changing. But for this example, we will use Static.
- Navigate to Lists > Relationships > Groups > New
- What kind of members would you like to include?: Select Contact
- Click Continue
- Name: Enter Name
- Click Members
- Group Members:
- Name: Select Name
- Note: This is the Contact record created from Step1.
- Click Add
- Click Save
- Schedule the Report
- Navigate to Report > Recent Reports
- Click Report
- Click Calendar icon
- Note: Located in lower right corner.
- Click Recipients
- Copy Others: Select Group
- Note: This is the Group created from Step2.
- Click Add
- Click Save
- Note: Once the group is added to the list, you will notice that the Email field is blank. This is expected.
