Context to Trigger a Workflow After Submitting an Online Customer Form

Scenario

There is a requirement to create a workflow that will be triggered when an Online Customer Form is created.

Solution
  1. Navigate to Customization Workflow Workflows New
  2. Basic Information:
  • Name: Enter Name
  • Example: Online Customer Form WF
  • Record Type: Select Customer
  • Sub Types: Select Lead
  • Execute as Admin: Enter Checkmark
  • Release Status: Select Released
  • Keep Instance and History: Select Always
  • Enable Logging: Enter Checkmark
  1. Initiation:
  • Select Event Based
  1. Event Definition:
  • On Create: Enter Checkmark
  • Trigger Type: Select – All –
  • Context: Select Suitelet, User Event Script
  1. Click Save
  2. Add the States and the Actions to be executed

Note: The selected contexts allow the workflow actions to be applied to Lead records created using the Online Customer Form only. Remove the context or add “User Interface” if the workflow is desired to be triggered as well when Lead records are created in UI.
