Create a Custom Sublist That Shows Associated Cases on Item Records

Scenario

User wants to create a Custom Sublist on the Item record that shows the associated Case record it was included.

Solution

1. Create Case Saved Search 

  1. Navigate to Lists Search Saved Searches New
  2. Select Case
  3. Search Title: Enter Title 
  4. Example: Cases Associated to an Item
  5. Available as List View: Enter Checkmark
  6. Available as Sublist View: Enter Checkmark 
  7. Filter: 
  • Select Item Fields… 
  1. Select Name(Internal) 
  2. Select Is Not Empty
  3. Click Available Filters Tab
  4. Filter: 
  • Select Item 
  1. Click Save 

2. Create Custom Sublist 

  1. Navigate to Customization Forms Sublists
  2. Click Items tab 
  3. Search: Select Cases Associated to an Item
  4. Label: Enter Label 
  5. Example: Cases 
  6. Tab: Select Related Records 
  7. Inventory: Enter Checkmark 
  8. Click Add
  9. Click Save
