Create Custom Field in Communication: Messages Subtab

Scenario

User needs to create new field under the Communication : Messages Subtab of a Sales Order Record. 

Solution

1. Create Custom Transaction Body Field 

1. Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records & Fields > Transaction Body Fields > New
2. Label: Enter Label
3. Applies to Tab:

• Sale: Enter Checkmark 

1. Click Display 
2. Subtab: Select Communication
3. Click Save

2. Customize Sales order Form 

1. Navigate to Customization > Forms > Transaction Forms 
2. Click Edit or Customize Sales order Form.
3. Click Move Elements Between Subtabs
4. Click Communication Tab 

• Select Field 
• Subtab: Select Communication: Messages

1. Click Save
