Custom segments will help to categorize the values given in the records and they will provide the ability to show in reports also.
Creation of custom segments
Enable feature for custom segments
Set up> Company> Enable features
Check the box for the custom segment
Click save
Customization> List/ Records> Custom segments
Add the label for the custom segment. Add values for the custom segment and if you want to add it in the g/l impact check the box g/l impact.
To add the custom segment in the body field check the box in the transactions heading.
If you want to add it in the line field add it in the transaction column field.
Then you can customize each form for adding where the segment shown in the forms.
To add the custom segment in the body field add it in the main field in the screen field when customizing the form.
Netsuite provides the opportunity to where the custom segment is shown in the forms.
To add the custom segment in the line field add it in the sublist field when customizing the form.
