Custom Site Maintenance Page for NetSuite Scheduled maintenance

Note: The use of maintenance domains and custom site maintenance pages is not supported in sandbox accounts.

To set up a custom site maintenance page:

1. Create a domain name to use when your site is offline for maintenance. For example, maintenance.example.com.
   1. Configure the DNS settings with your domain provider to add the CNAME record maintenance.example.com.hosting.netsuite.com. For more information, see Point your Domain Name at your Domain (DNS Settings).
2. Upload the assets for your site maintenance page to the NetSuite File Cabinet. There is a 10 MB size limit to the folder you use for hosting your site maintenance page.
   1. Go to Documents > Files > File Cabinet.
   2. Go to Web Site Hosting Files > Live Hosting Files.
   3. Click the New Folder button.
   4. Enter the name of your new folder in the Folder Name field. For example, Site Maintenance Folder.
   5. Click Save.
   6. Add the assets for your maintenance page to this folder by clicking Add File or Advanced Add. Note: Your assets must include a file named index.html. All files in your site maintenance folder are publicly accessible using the site maintenance domain. Note that SSP files and touch points are not supported. Also, SuiteScript is not run on files in the site maintenance folder.
3. Create a maintenance domain record and designate the maintenance folder.
   1. Go to Commerce > Hosting > Site Maintenance Domains > New (Administrator).
   2. Enter a domain name to use in the Site Maintenance Domain Name field. This is the domain name you configured in Step 1. For example, maintenance.example.com.
   3. Select your site maintenance folder from the Site Maintenance Folder list.
   4. Click Save.
   5. If you are editing an existing site maintenance domain, go to Commerce > Hosting > Site Maintenance Domains and click Edit next to the domain you want to edit.
4. Go to Commerce > Hosting > Domains (Administrator) to map your site maintenance domain to your website domain.

You can either create a new website domain or modify an existing one.

Note : If you use multiple websites, you can create a different site maintenance domain for each website domain.

After you enter your new site maintenance domain in NetSuite, it can take from 5 to 30 minutes to display your content online. To preview your maintenance page, open a new browser and go directly to the site maintenance domain. For example, go to http://maintenance.example.com.

Note : Any time you edit your site maintenance domain, the site maintenance folder, or its contents, there is a lag time of about five minutes before you can view changes to your maintenance page.
