Customer Approval – Big commerce

Customer Approval : –
Customer approval is a way to identify customers of different segmentations and permit each group to access certain contents or pages on your website. It’s more crucial when you are running a B2B and B2C eCommerce business or selling your products to wholesalers.
When we look into big commerce, we can’t see any options for customer approval in dashboard bydefault. But we can create it. While thinking about the creation, it is not by any custom code or editing the dashboard. It can be achieved through pretty simple way of changing the customer group. And again here, while talking about changing the customer group in big commerce is not the only thing we have to do, this is just a solution and here I am describing it as well.

To make a customer approval logic into our system, first we need to create a customer group, let’s imagine the group name is ‘Registered’ customers and hide price for this customer group. Next step we need to do is, go to customer group section and select manage customer groups. There we can see options like registered customers and guest customers.Select the newly created customer group – ‘Registered customers’ and assign to the option registered customers. while doing this setting, the registered customer will only come under this assigned customer group by default.Customer approval is done by changing newly registered customer to some other group. So, customer can see the price and able to place order after moving the customer to any other customer group.
