We can now choose a new date and time for some types of planned maintenance for our account with NetSuite that best suits our business. Numerous maintenance types will be made available for scheduling over the course of the following several major releases. The only users who can use the Customer-Scheduled Maintenance feature are the administrator or another user who has Set Up Company permission. It requires View permissions. We will be given the option to change the maintenance date and time when we are informed that it is one of the types that can be rescheduled for our account.
When we receive a notification that a maintenance type that can be rescheduled has been scheduled for our account, we will have the opportunity to reschedule the date and time of the maintenance.
Reschedule a Maintenance
Go to Setup > Company > Customer-Scheduled Maintenance and select Reschedule beside the maintenance we want to reschedule.
Click Reschedule after selecting a new date, start time, and a reason for the change for the chosen maintenance in the popup window.
There are a few timeslot openings available for Customer-Scheduled Maintenance, and they are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. We can choose a different date or time from the open timeslots if the Oracle NetSuite scheduled date and time is not ideal for us. In the event that we decide to change the maintenance date or time, Oracle NetSuite is not liable for any effects on our company’s operations and does not validate the suitability of the new date or time. The new date and time for our maintenance are shown on the Customer-Scheduled Maintenance page as soon as we have changed our maintenance appointment. There is no need for approvals because the update occurs automatically. Up to 72 hours prior to the scheduled maintenance time, we may reschedule maintenance as many times as necessary. The planned maintenance cannot be altered any further because the maintenance schedule is now locked. Select Show Scheduling History under the new Start Date and Time to view the history of rescheduling for the planned maintenance.
