Delete Memorized transaction Journal Entry with Entry No is “To be Generated”

Scenario

Journal entry has no entry number, and which is not available in Global search. A saved search for journals shows a journal entry record with a memorised transaction that is still showing even after deleting all journal entry memorised transaction template on the memorised transaction list page. The user is unable to delete the transaction.

Solution

Steps to follow,

  1. Create a Transaction saved search with criteria of,
    a) Type
    b) Created by
    c) Internal ID
  2. In the result tab add document number, etc.
  3. On the saved search results click edit on the memorized transactions
    * Note that journal entry number is “to be generated”
  4. Click Actions > Memorize
  5. On the pop-up window, click cancel to update the memorized transaction
  6. It will be redirected to the memorized transaction record.
  7. Click Action > Delete.

After deleting the Memorized Transaction, notice that journal entry will not be appear in the saved search results.
