Enabling Sticky Notes on Record Types

Follow the below steps;

  • Go to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Record Types.
  • Find the Sticky Notes Record Type custom record and then click List.
  • Click on New Sticky Notes Record Type and select the record type then save the record.
  • Go to Setup > Company > General Preferences, and then click Custom Preferences.
  • In the Sticky Notes section, check the Enable on All Record Page. Save it.

Adding New Note

  • Open the record page to add a note.
  • From the Sticky Notes Toolbar, click on any of the note icons to create a new note.

After creating a note we can do the following actions in notes

Mark as Done – Crosses out the note content to indicate that action items have been completed. Anyone with access to the note can mark the note as done.

Reply – Opens a new reply note. Type your message in the space provided. Anyone with access to the note can send a reply.

Delete Note – Deletes the current note. You can only delete notes you created.

Archive Note – Archives the current note. Archived notes will no longer appear on the record page, but they can still be viewed on the Sticky Notes Board. You can only archive the notes you created.

Sticky Notes Board

The Sticky Notes Board is a convenient location from which we can view notes across record pages. The board displays note that have been created and received.
Navigate to Lists > Productivity > Sticky Notes Board
