Error “You cannot change the GL impact for inter-company inventory transfer lines. “

Scenario

User already closed paired Intercompany Purchase Order and to close paired Intercompany Sales Order, user edits the transaction and marks the Close checkbox on the line item.

Upon saving, it throws an error: “You cannot change the GL impact for Intercompany Inventory Transfer lines is encountered”.

Solution

Ideally, user should close paired transactions in the following order:

1. Intercompany Sales Order
2. Intercompany Purchase Order

You can use the following workaround:

Option 1: 

1. Re-open Intercompany purchase Order.
2. Close Intercompany Sales Order.
3. Close intercompany Purchase Order.

Option 2: 

1. Click Cancel Order button on Intercompany Sales Order.
