Scenario:
We have a custom field ‘Asset type Department’, which is a list/record field. it lists departments. There are some inactive departments are there. We need to filter out these inactive departments from the list. This field is sourcing from Employee record.
Solution:
- Open the custom field setup page
2. Go to Sourcing & Filtering tab
3. First source the field with Employee. For that , select ‘Employee’ from Source list
4. Select ‘Department’ from Source From list
5. From the ‘Filter Using’ section in below, select the option ‘Department is inactive’
6. check the option is checked and select the option ‘Not Equal’ from the list Compare Type and save
After this there won’t be any inactive values in the list
