- The estimated Landed cost template comes with the Landed cost templates. For this one, we need to install the Supply Chain Management SuiteApp
Bundle Name – Supply Chain Management
Bundle ID – 47193 - The Landed cost template will be more useful if the landed cost and the cost categories of the items for the transaction have already been estimated and there is less chance for this to change.
- The landed cost template can only be used per line basis.
- The landed cost template should be selected at the item line in the Purchase Order itself to populate the landed cost. It may not work fine if the template is selected only in the Item receipt and not in PO
- If we want to change the landed cost amount and cost category, then it is possible to overwrite the data that comes from the template.
But make sure to deselect the Landed cost template in the item receipt. Otherwise, the amount will not overwrite the template data - In transactions, the Landed Cost Template field will show the templates with the currency that is equal to the transaction currency.
For example, if the PO currency is USD, then the Landed Cost template field will show not only the templates that belong to the selected item but all the templates that belong to the currency USD.
There is only one currency filter in the Landed Cost Template field(the field comes from the bundle)
But we can only select the templates that are assigned to the selected Item at the transaction line level - The landed cost will be calculated as per the screenshot below(with the different cost allocation methods)

- If you want to add more cost categories to the existing IR, then edit the IR and add cost categories and corresponding amounts. But we can not add more categories at the creation.
- When creating the Landed Cost template, the cost category list will show all the cost categories. Not only the Landed Cost Categories. But if select any cost category other than the Landed type, then the LC template can not be saved.
- We can not create additional cost allocation methods by the standard.
