Scenario: A fully applied Credit Memo with a customer deposit attached is having a return authorization in the pending refund status even though amounts are same in both the records.
Solution:
To link a RMA with a status of Pending Refund to a Credit Memo, follow the steps below:
Unapply the Refund from the Credit Memo:
Edit the Credit Memo
Go to Items Tab > Apply Subtab
Apply Column > Uncheck the Customer Refund
Click Save
Delete the Credit Memo
Edit Credit Memo
Hover over More Actions
Click Delete
Create a new Credit Memo linked to the RMA that has Status=Pending Refund
Open the RMA
Click Refund button
New Credit Memo Form appears
Go to Items Tab > Apply subtab
Check the Apply checkbox for he Customer Refund that was unchecked on the previous steps
Save
The new Credit Memo generated will have Fully Applied status and the Created From Field will have a link to the RMA
