Recently, I had to add a custom field to the company information page in NetSuite. The ‘Company Information’ page can be accessed using the ‘SetUp> Company> Company Information’ navigation and is only available for the admin role by default. If you want to store some constant values for customization and do not want normal users viewing or changing the value, then this is a good option.
In Non-Oneworld accounts, the field can be added to the ‘Company Information’ record by creating a field by ‘Customization> Lists, Records, & Fields > Other Record field> New. Select the record type as ‘company’ and provide the required values for ‘Label’ and ‘Type’.
You will not find the ‘Company’ option in OneWorld accounts in the Record Type field. Choose ‘subsidiary’ instead of ‘company’ in this case. The newly created custom field will be visible on the company information page once saved.
