Step 1: Apply Layer Styles to the Source Layer
- Create or Select a Layer: Make sure you have a layer with the desired layer styles (e.g., drop shadow, bevel, gradient overlay).
- Apply Layer Styles: If you haven’t already applied layer styles, do so by double-clicking the layer to open the Layer Style dialog box and adding your effects.
Step 2: Copy the Layer Styles
- Right-Click the Source Layer: In the Layers panel, right-click (or Control-click on Mac) the layer with the styles you want to copy.
- Select “Copy Layer Style”: From the context menu, choose “Copy Layer Style.” This action copies all the effects applied to that layer.
Step 3: Paste the Layer Styles to Another Layer
- Select the Destination Layer: Click on the layer to which you want to apply the copied layer styles.
- Right-Click the Destination Layer: Right-click (or Control-click on Mac) the destination layer in the Layers panel.
- Select “Paste Layer Style”: From the context menu, choose “Paste Layer Style.” This will apply all the copied effects to the selected layer.
