How to Create Resource Allocations for Unavailable Dates (e.g. Leaves, Holidays)

Scenario

A user needs to create Resource Allocations for the unavailable dates such as when the project resource will be on leave, holiday or any other valid reasons.

This would require creating a dummy project, which will be the placeholder for the unavailable hours of the Project Resources.

Solution
  1. Navigate to Lists > Relationships > Projects > New.
  2. Project Name: Enter Name
  3. Example: Allocation for Unavailable Dates
  4. Click Save.
  5. Click Resources
  6. Click Resource Allocations
  7. Click New Resource Allocation
  8. Resource: Select Employee
  9. Start Date: Enter Start Date
  10. Note: Select a start date that will cover the unavailable time of the resource.
  11. End Date: Enter End Date
  12. Note: Select an end date that will cover the unavailable time of the resource.
  13. Allocate: Enter Hours
  14. Click Save
