How to display Employee Name in Transaction Saved Search for Purchase Order

Transaction Saved Search for Purchase Order transactions results in null value shown when a join field Employee: Name is used in Results.

The following method displays the way to fetch the Employee name in the transaction saved search for Purchase order.

Solution

To resolve, adjust the search and instead of Employee: Name join field use the join field Requestor: Name. When this is performed, the employee name selected in Purchase Order transaction is sourced from the Employee record and is populated with the use of the Requestor join field (available for selection as Requestor Fields…).

1. Navigate to Lists > Search > Saved Searches > New
2. Click Transaction
3. Search Title: Enter Title
4. Click Criteria tab
5. Click Standard subtab
6. Filter:
   • Select Type
     1. Type: Select any of
     2. Select Purchase Order
     3. Click Set
7. Click Results tab
8. Click Columns subtab
9. Field:
   1. Select Requestor Fields…
   2. Requestor Field: Select Name
   3. Click Add
10. Click Save & Run
