How to Enable Basic Manufacturing Features

Scenario

How to enable the basic manufacturing features.

Solution

If the Basic Manufacturing module is provisioned in the account, the administrator may enable the following features:

Assembly Item Records. 

1. Go to Setup > Company > Setup Tasks > Enable Features.
2. Click the Items & Inventory subtab.
3. Check the Assembly Items box.
4. Check the Inventory box.
5. Click Save.

Assembly Work Orders: 

1. Go to Setup > Company > Setup Tasks > Enable Features.
2. Click the Items and Inventory subtab.
3. In the Inventory section, check the Work Orders box.
4. Click Save.

Advanced Bill of Materials: 

1. Go to Setup > Company > Setup Tasks > Enable Features.
2. Click the Inventory & Items subtab.
3. In the Inventory section, check the Advanced Bill of Materials box.
4. In the warning box, click OK.
5. Click Save.

Note: If we see the warning “This feature is not currently available in our account. To upgrade, contact our Administrator.”, this means that the feature is not included in the module availed. On the other hand, if we see the warning “This feature is not currently enabled in our account. To enable this feature, please contact your administrator.”, this means that we just need to enable the feature.
