For getting a free domain first got to the website: https://www.freenom.com/
first we have to create an account using our E-mail Id then only we can purchase a free domain from the site.
Note that in the website the is no option for sign up for creating an account, only sign in tab will be visible on the home page.
For creating account:
- For sign in we need to got to the ‘Partner’s’ tab on the home page of the website.
- then a drop down menu will appear, select the ‘Developers’ option.
- A page will open, in that page select the option ‘Get a random Domains Account today!’
- Next is email verification, we have to enter our email fro verification.
- a link will be sent to our E-mail id, we have to open that link and need to refresh the current page.
- then a section for adding our details will be appear, after filling the form account will be created.
- Now we are signed into the website.
Getting a domain:
- we can find a new domain under the ‘Services’ tab, select the option ‘Register a New domain’, there we can type our required domain name and check the availability of the domain. and add to checkout.
- After purchasing the free domain we can edit our domain under Services>My domains option.
- In My domains Page we can configure DNS setup and validity period etc.
