There are instances when some users want to customize their deferred revenue waterfall report to pull out other necessary information such as the document number and the date when the Invoice was billed. However, this is not currently possible on the said report.
As an alternate solution, users can create a Revenue Element Saved Search instead:
- Navigate to Reports > Saved Searches > All Saved Searches > New
- Select Revenue Element
- Under Criteria tab, add the following:
- Source Transaction Fields..
- Source Transaction Filter = Type: any of Invoice
- Source Transaction Fields..
- Under Results tab, add the following:
- Revenue Arrangement
- Source Transaction Fields.. Document Number
- Source Transaction Fields.. Date Billed
This tip is applicable to revenue elements whose source transaction is Invoice. This is to easily identify the deferred revenue associated with it and track its source document and related revenue arrangement. This will be beneficial to Advanced Revenue Management Bundle users.
