Problem Statement
We made the mistake of selecting non inventory items for purchase when we really needed non inventory items for resale. We can fix the issue moving forward but we still have atleast 3 months of transactions that is tied to the original item type. Is there any way to edit this and if not what are some alternatives that can help reflect the change we want?
Solution
Per checking, the ability to convert non-inventory item for purchase to resale is a current system limitation in NetSuite logged under Enhancement 88100 Items > Ability to change Item Type.

A work around for this is to inactivate the item and recreate the item record from scratch with the correct item classification.
