Scenario:
An error keeps showing when we enter each detail in the Tax Registrations subtab of vendor, or customer records. The error-mentioned field is from the Suite Tax Engine bundle and is a locked one. We have recently migrated to SuiteTax and the new subsidiary implementation is ongoing.
The error started after SuiteTax Migration.
The error happens each time while entering the remaining details after country in the tax Registrations subtab. The field mentioned in the error is STE Backend Invoker Error Field.
Error:
INVALID_FLD_VALUE The field custrecord_ste_backend_inv_error_details contained more than the maximum number ( 4000 ) of characters allowed.
Solution:
To resolve this issue, please try the following steps:
- Go to Company > Enable Features > CRM tab.
- Under Marketing, enable the feature: Online Forms. Click Save.
- Log out and log back in to your account.
- Navigate to Customization > Scripting > Script Deployments
- Locate customdeploy_ste_sl_backend_admin and click Edit
- Under the Audience tab, in External Roles, add Online Form User
- Click Save
Note: If you do not see the Online Form User option in the External Roles field, please wait for a while and log in again. Once the deployment record configuration is complete, check the issue again.
