Scenario:
Need to remove the memo or edit the memo field, The memo to be saved in a none editable field and only show the NEW memo entered or empty memo field if removing the memo. The saved memo should be named “Previous memo “and stamped with date and time!
Solution:
- To create Saved Search
- Navigate to Lists > Search > Saved Searches > New
- Click Transaction
- Search Title: Enter Sales Order Previous Memos
- Click Criteria
- Click Standard
- Filters:
- Note: Always click ‘Add’ once Filter is selected and adjusted, as needed.
- Select Type
- any of: Select Sales Order (or any type, depending on your use)
- Click Set
- Select Main Line
- Main Line: Select Yes
- Click Set
- Select System Notes Fields…
- System Notes Filter: Select Field
- Field: Select any of
- any of: Select Memo
- Click Set
- Select Type
- Note: Always click ‘Add’ once Filter is selected and adjusted, as needed.
- Click Results
- Click Column
- Click Remove All button
- Fields:

- Select System Notes Fields…System Notes Field: Select Date
- Select System Notes Fields…
- System Notes Field: Select Old Value
- Select System Notes Fields…
- System Notes Field: Select New Value
- Note: Always click ‘Add’ once Field is selected and adjusted, as needed.
- Click Save & Run
- Click Available Filter
- Click Internal ID(checkmark: Hide filter dropdowns)
- Click Save & Run
- To create Custom Sublist
- Navigate to Customisation> Forms > Sublist> New
- Select: Transaction
- Select the saved search: Sales Order Previous Memos
- Label:Previous Memos
- Tab:System Information
- Select :Sale
- Click Save
