Question
We have inactivated a subsidiary and all the balances have been cleared.
When running a financial statement report at the subsidiary level, the balance is nil.
But when running a report at consolidated level, it shows a balance and we need this to show as nil.
Is this a way to achieve this / exclude the inactive subsidiary from reports?
Answer
Currently, inactive subsidiaries are still available in the reports. The request to remove it is currently logged under enhancement 132165 OneWorld: Reporting > Subsidiary Context dropdown has inactive subsidiaries without transactions
As an alternate solution, you can add a secondary filter for the subsidiaries, please follow the steps below:
1.) Navigate to Reports > Financial > Balance Sheet
2.) Set the following footer for Subsidiary Context: Parent (Consolidated)
3.) Click Customize
4.) Go to Filters section
5.) Go to Add Fields > Budget and Financial folder > Subsidiary subfolder > Name
6.) Select not Equal to

7.) Select the Subsidiary
8.) You can also check the Show in Filter Region

9.) Run the report
In the filter footer, you will now be able to select the inactive subsidiary/ies:
