In the bulk Journal Approve page, it shows the error message “THERE ARE NO JOURNALS TO APPROVE OR REJECT BASED ON THE CRITERIA SET IN YOUR JOURNAL APPROVAL WORKFLOW(S).”
One reason for this message is
- The approval workflow is not enabled – Enable the accounting preference for journal approval and approve the already existing pending approval journals. Navigate to the workflows ->New. In the New workflow page, select the option – ‘From Template’. From the templates, select ‘Journal Entry Basic Approval’. Release the workflow. The new created journals will be available for approving in the bulk approve page. The already existing journals will not be available as the workflow will work only in the create mode(Updating the workflow to work in the edit mode may help).
- According to the workflow, the journals can be approved by the creator’s supervisor or administrator. So the when accessing from roles other than Administrator, the error message will be shown if the user is not supervisor of the creator.
