To import Kit items there are 2 methods available
- One file Upload
Include all the Item details in a single file. When preparing the import file, make sure to add all member item details in a single row for each Kit item. For example, refer to the screenshot below
Optionally add an external ID for future reference.

- Multiple file Upload
There is an option of “Multiple File Upload” in the import assistant
Include the kit item header level details in one file and component details in another file and import using Multiple file upload option in the import assistant
Then there will be 2 files for upload. Refer to the screenshots below
- Parent file
- Component file
Here the External ID is mandatory as there should be a common External Reference Id for each record.
Select two files in the import assistant as shown in the below screenshot
In the File mapping step, select the External ID from both files as the common reference
No need to map the External ID again in the field mapping step. Please refer to the screenshot below
