Knowledge Base Topics in NetSuite

Knowledge Base solutions can be organized by a hierarchy of topics and subtopics. When a topic is published, its subtopics and the solutions linked to these subtopics will also be published.

To create a topic:

Navigate to Lists > Support > Topics > New.

Within the Title field, input a name for this topic, which will serve as the organizing label for solutions and subtopics. This title will be visible in the Topics list, within a published knowledge base, and as an option in the Topics subtab of solution records.

If this topic serves as a subtopic under a broader category, indicate the parent topic in the Subtopic Of field.

Provide a description for this topic in the Brief Description field. This brief description will appear alongside the title in the Topics list and wherever this topic is published.

For a more comprehensive and detailed explanation of the topic and its contents, enter this information in the Detailed Description field. The detailed description will be displayed when the topic title is selected. HTML and JavaScript can also be entered in this field.

Finally, click on Save to confirm your changes.
